WHAT IS LINK INTERNSHIP?
The Animas High School Internship is a unique opportunity that allows students to explore their future careers, or explore their interests throughout the course of a three week internship. Students leave school for this time, and are able to work in a field that they are passionate or curious about. This provides the students with work experience for after college, or points them in the right direction of a career.
FOR MY INTERNSHIP, I WILL BE WORKING AT THE SOUP PALETTE.
The Soup Palette is a local restaurant here in Durango, Colorado. The owner, Jenni Gross used to be an artist and a designer at Artist Edge. However, this took a toll on her physically, and so she decided to follow her passion of cooking, by opening her own restaurant. They use excellent quality meats, and use organic and local produce. Jenni makes all of her soups, salads, and sandwiches by scratch, and all of the cookies and yummy baked goods are made by their baker from scratch. All of the food is healthy, delicious, and made with love and care! I am looking to learn how to cook healthy, wholesome foods for myself, while gaining work experience and developing professional people skills. Wish me luck, I am so excited!
